Anne Coolen McGoldrick
Medical Director
Chartered Physiotherapist BSc MISCP
Anne is a fully licensed and insured Chartered Physiotherapist and has worked in Private Practice for over 13 years. She is one of the founding partners of The Physio Company. Before co-founding The Physio Company, she worked in The National Orthopaedic Hospital in Clontarf, in Private Practice in Castletroy Physiotherapy Clinic in Limerick and in Drumcondra Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic. She became a joint partner in Drumcondra Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in 2003, which has been in operation for over 25 years. When The Physio Company commenced operations in 2007, she quickly brought Drumcondra Physiotherapy Clinic into the fold and it is now an integral part of The Physio Company.
Anne takes a great interest in the direction of Chartered Physiotherapy as a profession. As Medical Director for The Physio Company, Anne applies her long and diverse experience in all areas of Physiotherapy in directing the medical excellence of our Physio team. She ensures that all of our physiotherapists maintain the high levels expected by The Physio Company with constant focus on our Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme. She also ensures all our Physiotherapists abide by The ISCP Rules of Professional Conduct and the European Core Standards of Physiotherapy, with a particular focus on ethics, confidentiality and patient satisfaction. She is very involved at a training level and handpicks all of our Physiotherapists herself.
Although Anne currently does not have a regular schedule in the Clinic she does consult on difficult cases where needed and is always available to discuss any aspect of a patients care with the patient or the Physio.
Fiona Casey
Chartered Physiotherapist
Fiona trained to be a Chartered Physiotherapist at the University of Bath (UK) andgraduated in 1997 with a B.Sc. Hons. Physiotherapy degree. Following qualification she has worked in a number of large teaching hospitals in the UK and has sinced specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She has worked in private practice in the UK and Australia, where her particular areas of clinical interest have included rehabilitation and treatment of sports injuries, and biomechanical assessment with orthotic prescription where indicated.
She is committed to continuing professional development through regular participation in post-graduate training. She has worked with major sporting bodies including the FAI, IRFU, Munster Rugby and was Physiotherapist for Cork Constitution Senior Rugby Team from 2003 – 2008.
Fiona works mainly from our Patrick's Quay clinic.

Breda Walsh
Chartered Physiotherapist
Breda is a fully licensed Chartered Physiotherapist with current membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. She obtained her BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree from the University of Hertfordshire, England and has worked in the UK NHS system since graduation, gaining experience in musculoskeletal, stroke rehabilitation, cardio-respiratory, paediatrics and orthopaedics. Breda is also a qualified staff nurse and worked on orthopaedic and paediatric wards in Waterford Regional Hospital and Sydney Australia prior to commencing her physiotherapy studies in the UK.
Breda is committed to continuing professional development and has completed courses in Manual therapy, Deep tissue massage and is a certified Pilates Instructor. Outside of work Breda enjoys playing camogie and acted as secretary of Brothers Pearse Camogie club in London for two years prior to returning home to Ireland. She has now returned to play camogie with her home club Ballyhale Shamrocks.

Siobhan O'Donovan
Chartered Physiotherapist
Siobhán gained her undergraduate degree in Physical Education and her Master of Science degree in Health Science/Sports Injury Prevention and Management in the USA. She worked in a large orthopaedic & sports injury clinic in New York, experiencing at first hand the benefits to the patient of working closely with other healthcare professionals, especially surgeons.
She then moved to the UK where she founded a physiotherapy, sports medicine and sports performance practice, acting as Clinical Director for 15 years in addition to her clinical duties as a Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal & sports injuries. She completed a post-graduate Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine, was involved in the development and delivery of undergraduate degree courses in Sports Rehabilitation.
Siobhán is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, which enhances both her treatment and rehabilitation of the musculoskeletal injuries in which she specialises. The combination of her physiotherapy and conditioning backgrounds is evidenced in her interest areas of injury prevention, assessment, treatment & rehab of musculoskeletal sports injuries, prescribing and making corrective insoles (orthotics), postural education & rehabilitation, and strength & conditioni

Niamh O'Sullivan
Chartered Physiotherapist
Niamh is a fully licensed Chartered Physiotherapist with current membership of the IrishSociety of Chartered Physiotherapists. Niamh obtained her BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree from the St. George’s University of London. She has worked in both hospitals and private practice in the UK and Ireland, gaining experience in Musculoskeletal, Stroke Rehabilitation, Cardio-Respiratory, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics and Care of the Elderly. Niamh also has a certificate in Sports Traumatology and dry needling.
Niamh has a great interest in sports and has worked with many different teams such as Cork Minors Football, Munster Ladies development teams, local GAA teams in Cork County and has recently began working as physiotherapist for the Dolphins Minors and U19s Rugby.

Emma O' Sullivan
Chartered Physiotherapist
Emma is a fully licensed Chartered Physiotherapist with current membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. Emma obtained her Bsc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree from University College Dublin. Since qualifying Emma has worked in Private Practice, Hospitals and Nursing homes, as well as working with a number of sports teams.
Emma is a keen learner and has independently obtained post graduate experience in a number of accredited courses such as acupuncture, STOTT Pilates, manual therapy courses and pain management.
